New Wing under construction
You may have seen the bricks and foundation going up and wondered what are we going to do with this new addition; we are happy to announce the new wing that will help us to enhance our service to you. The new three storey building will house 25 new beds, an out patient floor and for the comfort of the differently abled and the general public it will have two (2) state of the art elevator systems. In our never ending effort to make our patients as comfortable as possible we will continue to add and improve where necessary. The building's completion is carded for one (1) year from now.

NEW Cutting Edge X-Ray equipment
We have recently installed a new GE Proteus x-ray unit and are using new Computed Radiography (CR) technology to provide superior digital x-ray images.
Basically, this technology eliminates dark room film processing and produces digital images which are displayed and saved on our computers.
We are able to print images on film for you to take to your doctor but because of the digital nature of the examination you will no longer have to leave your x-rays at our institution to get a radiologist’s report. Our radiologist can simply review your images on our computerized system. Patients with fax or email access can have their reports sent to them upon their completion thus eliminating the need for a return visit to the x-ray department.
We also have the capability of transferring examinations onto CDs. This option tends to be very helpful for patients seeking medical treatment abroad.
The introduction of this Computed Radiography system also means less time is spent waiting for your images to be reviewed and you are much less likely to have to repeat an x-ray because it is “too light” or “too dark” since this state of the art technology enables our technologists to modify and enhance your images to ensure optimal diagnostic quality.
Our x-ray department facilitates all general x-ray procedures as well as IVU/IVP examinations. The maneuverability of our x-ray unit also enables us to facilitate all patients regardless of their mobility.

Bigger & Better Ambulance Service at Medical Associates
The public can look forward to a better ambulance service from Medical Associates Hospital Limited. The private hospital recently added a new specially customised Mercedes Benz ambulance which was launched at the end of May 2006. Medical Associates will now be utilising two ambulance vehicles to deliver patients any where in Trinidad . The new Mercedes Benz ambulance comes fully equipped with a wheel chair, spine board, stretcher, nebuliser, oxygen, ambu-bag, critical care machine, fire extinguisher, bed pans, blood pressure kit and a wide range of medical supplies.
The new ambulance also features a PA System and telephone service for its customers. Holding a maximum of ten people this all terrain vehicle can easily reach any part of Trinidad. IN EMERGENCIES CALL THE TOLL FREE NUMBER - 800 - MED. The Medical Associates ambulances will respond to calls from private hospitals, public homes, corporate businesses and the airport.
